Three object studies that I then used to create a new, post apocalyptic object design.
A ‘sustainable’ soup cooker.
Originally marketed with the intention of reducing food waste and preserving limited resources, this cooker was created to reuse customer leftovers, reheating them in a ‘master broth’ and then dispensed for a new customer. Theoretically, the broth can be left for months, due to how few people finish their soup.
Eventually was recalled due to reports of increased wear and tear on bowls and plates.
